Today's Quick Tip....
Do you have a stack of old computers in your basement that's just gathering dust and taking up space?
If so, you might be tempted to just trash them, but did you know you can actually sell them for scrap?
Well, it's true. You can haul those old machines to your nearest recycling center and trade them for a little cash.
And when I say "a little cash", I mean exactly that.
The prices paid for used computers vary quite a bit from region to region, but the most you're likely to get is about 10 bucks or so. In other words, you won't get rich by recycling your old computer gear.
But one thing you'll definitely accomplish is keeping them out of the landfill where their caustic chemicals could leak out into the water supply.
That alone is reason enough to skip the landfill and haul your old computers to a recycling center instead.
