Today's Quick Tip....
How to quickly find the Chrome browser tab that's playing music
Are you a Chrome user who frequently keeps several tabs open at once?
If so, you've probably experienced having one of the tabs start playing audio at a seemingly random time. And if you're like me, you probably found it quite irritating.
But even more irritating was when you had to click on half-a-dozen tabs before you found the one playing the audio so you could turn it off.
Well here's a little trick that'll help you identify a noisy tab right away...
Just scan the tab row at the top of the Chrome window and look for the tab that has the little "speaker" icon. Once you see that icon you'll know which tab to open in order to silence the audio.
You can practice this by opening a tab with YouTube and playing a video. Now look at the tab and you'll see the "speaker" icon.
That's all there is to it. Now you'll know what to look for the next time one of your open Chrome tabs starts playing audio while you're busy working with another tab.
