Today's Quick Tip....
How to remotely erase a lost or stolen smartphone
Do you have personal photos and/or information stored on your smartphone that you wouldn't want a stranger to see, or otherwise have access to?
I'd be quite surprised if the answer is no given the explosion of identity theft we've witnessed in recent years.
One way to prevent someone from accessing the info on a lost or stolen phone is to remotely 'wipe' the phone as soon as you notice that it's missing.
Luckily, that's pretty easy to do provided you have everything set up in advance.
This page explains how to both prepare an Android phone for remote erasure and actually do the erasing if it ever becomes necessary.
This page has similar instructions for iPhone users.
Important: Remotely erasing your phone will prevent whoever ends up with it from being able to access the personal info that's on it.
Just be aware that you'll no longer have access to the info either should the phone end up being recovered. That's why I recommend making sure you keep the info on your phone backed up just in case.

Force Windows 10 to create a new System Restore Point every day
System Restore is a powerful tool that can usually help restore a Windows PC back to a known good state if something goes wrong, but it only helps if you have a recent Restore Point to roll the system back to. This post explains how to force Windows 10 to create a new Restore Point each and every day.
