Today's Quick Tip....
How to make File Explorer default to 'This PC'
If you're a Windows user you probably know File Explorer is one of the most useful tools you have available to you.
Personally, I prefer having the File Explorer window default to showing 'This PC' instead of 'Quick Access" because I just find that layout more intuitive and easier to use.
If you also prefer using the 'This PC' view you can easily set that as the default on your machine. Just follow the steps below for your version of Windows.
If your PC has Windows 10...
1 - Press the Windows+E key combination to open a File Explorer window.
2 - Select the View tab.
3 - Click Options over on the far right.
4 - Change the "Open File Explorer to:" setting to This PC.
5 - Click OK.
If your PC has Windows 11...
1 - Press the Windows+E key combination to open a File Explorer window.
2 - Click the three dots at the far-right side of the Menu bar, then click Options.
3 - Change the "Open File Explorer to:" setting to This PC.
4 - Click OK.
