Today's Quick Tip....
How to view every password that Google is storing on your behalf
Do you allow your Chrome browser and/or your Android devices to store the passwords to your online accounts?
If so, they are probably being stored online as well inside your Google account.
You can easily view all the passwords that Google is currently storing on your behalf by following the steps below:
1 - Visit https://passwords.google.com and sign in to your Google account (if you're prompted to do so). You should now see a list of all the accounts that Google has stored the passwords for.
2 - To view the password for a particular account simply click on that account, then click the Reveal Password icon (it looks like an eye with a slash through it). Note: You might be prompted to enter your Google password again.
3 - Repeat the steps above for any other passwords that you want to view.
That's all there is to viewing all of your passwords that Google is currently storing online.
Now that that's out of the way, did you notice how easy it was to access ALL of your stored passwords simply by visiting one page on the Google website and then entering your Google password?
Well if you can do that, so can a hacker or scammer if he manages to steal the password to your Google account.
That's just one of several reasons why I strongly recommend against the use of any type of password manager. They essentially put the passwords to every account you own at risk of being compromised. Just sayin'.
